The Case for Early ATM EMV Compliance in the United States

EMV technology is coming to the United States. For owners and independent operators of ATMs, MasterCard's requirement that U.S.-based ATMs be able to accept EMV cards by April 19, 2013 has raised the question for financial institutions, Would it be better to become EMV compliant now or at the later EMV deadlines put forward by Visa, Discover, and American Express?
